Functionality
There are two ways to add friends in Friendzone:
- Import your contacts: Allow Friendzone to access your contacts and import them. The easiest time to do this is during the app setup. If you want to allow access later, go to your iPhone Settings, find Friendzone, and set Contacts permission to either “Full Access” or “Limited Access”.
- Add friends manually: You can add friends directly inside Friendzone. These friends will only be saved in Friendzone and won’t appear in your iPhone Contacts app.
Recommendation: We suggest giving Friendzone “Full Access” to your contacts. This makes it easier to import and update your friends.
The main way to create a new note is by tapping the Note Icon in the center of the tab bar at the bottom of the screen. This button is visible from most places inside Friendzone. If you are on a friend’s page, creating a new note will automatically select that friend as the note’s assignee.
You can also quickly create a new note by swiping right on a reminder from your home screen or on friends in your friends overview. This will open a new note with the selected friend already assigned.
Each note needs at least one friend assigned, but you can assign multiple friends if you want. You can also choose a specific note type and set a future date for Friendzone to remind you about the note.
There are different ways to set up a catch-up reminder for a friend in Friendzone:
- Go to the profile of the friend you want to set a catch-up reminder for. Tap the Set catch-up interval button below their name. Then, choose how often you want to catch up and set the date for the first reminder.
- You can also long-press on a friend in the Reminders or Friends list to open a menu. Select Catch-up interval to open the reminder settings.
Additionally, you may want to enable a setting for catch-up intervals. Go to Friendzone Settings > General and turn on Start new catch-ups immediately. This will set new catch-up reminders to start from today by default, but you can change the date when setting up the reminder.
Friendzone lets you create groups inside the Friends section to help you organize your friends. To create and manage groups, go to the Friends section, tap the navigation title (the little down arrow), and select Manage groups at the bottom of the menu.
This will open a screen where you can create new groups, delete groups, or assign friends to groups.
If you want to add a friend to an existing group, you can either long-press the friend and choose **Assign to group… **from the menu, or open the friend’s profile, tap the three-dot button at the top right, and select Assign to group….
Friendzone shows all your friends marked as favorites at the top of the home screen. To mark a friend as a favorite, either long-press the friend in the friends list and choose Favorite from the menu, or open the friend’s profile, tap the three-dot button at the top right, and select Favorite.
General
Friendzone keeps all your data stored only on your device and syncs it only with your personal iCloud account. We don’t run any servers or have access to your data.
Yes, Friendzone works fully without an internet connection. Just keep in mind that while you’re offline, Friendzone can’t sync your data with your personal iCloud.
Importing friends from Contacts.app into Friendzone is a one-time action. Changes you make in Contacts.app after importing won’t update automatically in Friendzone, and changes in Friendzone won’t update Contacts.app.
Friendzone also lets you manually sync with Contacts.app. To do this, open a friend’s profile, tap the three-dot button at the top right, and select Refresh contact info. If the friend is in your Contacts.app, Friendzone will sync automatically. If not, you can manually select a contact or choose a friend to overwrite data in Friendzone—make sure this is what you want before doing it.
Friendzone is focused on providing the best experience for iOS users and expanding within the Apple ecosystem. Android support might be considered in the future, but it’s unlikely.
Subscription
Prices for different currencies are set by the App Store. We choose a price in US Dollars, and Apple automatically converts it to your local currency. We don’t set prices for each country.
Please check your App Store to see how much Friendzone costs in your country.
The Lifetime plan is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. It gives you access to all Friendzone features forever, with no recurring subscription fees.
The easiest way to cancel or change your subscription is inside Friendzone. Open Friendzone settings and at the top, tap Manage in the Customer Center section. From there, you can cancel or switch your plan directly.
No, Friendzone DOES NOT currently offer family sharing with any of the plans.
You will keep access to Friendzone and all its features while your subscription is active. You can always export your data as .txt files during this time, so your information is never locked inside Friendzone.
