Who makes Friendzone?
Friendzone was created by Jan Früchtl, design lead at the US self-storage startup Cubby, who previously worked at Shopify and various other tech companies across many industries.
Jan is a software crafter focused on creating opinionated, well-crafted, privacy-conscious and accessible apps. His first iOS app, CouchTimes (a TV show tracking app), was released in May 2023 and has been featured by Apple multiple times and covered by various German technology outlets.
Jan is a solo creator bootstrapping Friendzone, aiming to build a sustainable business focused on providing value to customers without mining or selling user data.
